MESSAGE FROM OUR PRESIDENT Regarding COVID-19

March 17, 2020. New Minas, Nova Scotia.

To our valued customers; friends and employees

Forbes Kia is committed to protecting the health and wellbeing of our employees, customers and communities.

We want you to know that we are monitoring the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation very closely and have taken several preventative steps toward ensuring safe and clean facilities.

Employee focus:

Our employees are receiving continuous communications regarding preventative measures detailing how to protect against transmission of the virus (including washing hands regularly, implementing hand sanitizer stations and frequent cleaning of high-touch areas, to name a few).

Employees who are not feeling well have been asked to stay home. We have placed restrictions on all work-related travel both Domestic and International as well as a 14-day quarantine on all staff returning from travel outside of Canada.

Customer focus:

For our customers we will continue to exercise enhanced cleaning protocols including continuous cleaning of high-touch surfaces in all areas of our dealerships, vehicles in showrooms, service customer vehicles, vehicles being test-driven, and vehicles being delivered.

If at any time, you feel unsafe or are unable to visit the dealership, we will come to you, just ask. Please contact the dealership directly. If you are not feeling well, we ask that you communicate with us using other means - chat, text, phone, email, etc.

These measures will allow us to ensure a safe and healthy environment for everyone. As an additional precaution we've asked our team members to refrain from shaking hands; please accept our salutations as a sign of respect and consideration for your health and safety.

Community focus:

We will continue monitoring the coronavirus (COVID-19) updates, and will respond based on the advice of governments, public health authorities, and medical professionals.

Sincerely,

Patrick Forbes
