SecureDrive© is available for most vehicle types and for most vehicle uses. If your vehicle is less than 13 years of age and has less than 200,000 kilometres, you may qualify for Secure Drive© coverage.

SecureDrive© protection can be purchased with different coverage levels:

SecureDrive - LTD - Limited warranty protection with a maximum claim benefit per breakdown.

SecureDrive - Basic - Comprehensive powertrain coverage for your vehicle.

SecureDrive - Plus - Extended coverage to include most major component groups on your vehicle including the powertrain.

SecureDrive - Elite - The most comprehensive plan we offer. All parts are covered with exception of those listed as excluded.

SecureDrive - Wrap - The same coverage type as the Elite plan except coverage does not commence until the extended powertrain warranty from the manufacturer expires. Must have a minimum of 5 years and 100,000 kms powertrain warranty to qualify for Wrap plans.

 RENTAL & ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE OPTION
    Rental Vehicle Benefit: Coverage is provided to a maximum of $50 per day (including taxes) for each 8 labour hours (or portion thereof) for a maximum of $200 per breakdown.
     
   

Roadside Assistance Benefit:
24 Hour Roadside Assistance Protection: If your vehicle is in need of non-accident related roadside assistance, for the term of your contract/policy, the following benefits are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, anywhere in Canada and the United States of America (excluding Hawaii):

  • Towing
  • Jump Start
  • Flat Tire Changes (using customer's inflated spare)
  • Vehicle Fuel Delivery (cost of fuel extra - 1 claim per year maximum)
  • Lock Out Service (key cutting and replacement extra - 1 claim per year maximum)
  • Concierge Service (family notification, reservation changes, ATM locations, etc.)

A maximum of one hundred dollars ($100), inclusive of taxes, per occurrence shall apply for each roadside assistance benefit llisted.

SecureDrive© Elite offers the highest level of coverage of all plans available. In addition to the components covered in SecureDrive© Plus, SecureDrive© Elite also covers the following:


Emissions: Map Sensor; Detonation Sensor; Oxygen Sensor; Barometric Sensor; Vapour Canister; PCV Valve Hose; EGR Adapter Plate; IAC Motor; Air Bypass Valve; Mass Air Flow Sensor; A.I.R. Identical coverage to SecureDrive© Elite, however, powertrain components are only covered once the manufacturer's extended powertrain warranty expires. Your vehicle must have a minimum original manufacturer's comprehensive warranty of 3 years & 60,000 kms plus have a 5 year & 100,000 kms powertrain warranty (or longer) in effect at the time of contract/policy purchase.

The following Additional Benefits are available depending on the coverage plan you have selected.

Roadside Assistance Benefit:

Trip Interruption:
In the event of a breakdown covered by the contract/policy which occurs more than one hundred fifty (150) kilometres from your primary residence and your vehicle must be taken to a licensed repair facility for overnight repairs, we will pay or reimburse you for receipted lodging and meal expenses of up to one hundred dollars ($100), including tax, per day for a maximum of four (4) days. The total benefit per breakdown shall not exceed four hundred dollars ($400), including tax.

Secure© Loyalty Credit:
If you (or any person authorized by you to act on your behalf) have not filed any claims (or received any additional benefits) upon the expiration of your contract/policy term (by time), you will be entitled to select one of the following refund options:
a. a coupon issued by the administrator for the amount you paid for your contract/policy (inclusive of taxes) toward any qualifying Secure© contract/policy which you must purchase from the issuing dealer as shown on the registration page. A coupon issued to you must be applied toward any Secure© product purchases within three (3) months of the expiration of your contract/policy by time. Any unapplied refund value towards any purchased Secure© product purchases following three (3) months from the expiration of your contract/policy by time shall be forfeited. You shall be responsible for any fees in excess of the coupon value for the Secure© product you have selected to apply your coupon towards; or
b. an issuing dealer store credit for the amount you paid for your contract/policy (inclusive of taxes) to a maximum of two thousand dollars ($2,000.00). You must provide sufficient evidence (as deemed sufficient by the administrator) of your receipted purchases within three (3) months of the expiration of your contract/policy by time in order to receive a refund cheque for the amount paid by you for the issuing dealer store credit; or
c. a refund cheque of the amount you paid for your contract/policy (inclusive of taxes) up to one thousand dollars ($1,000.00).

Rental Benefit:
In the event of a breakdown covered by the contract/policy, we will pay or reimburse you for receipted expenses to rent a replacement vehicle (from a licensed rental agency or a service loaner vehicle from a licensed repair facility) while your vehicle is at a licensed repair facility. Coverage will be provided to you up to a maximum of fifty dollars ($50), including tax, per day, for each eight (8) labour hours or portion thereof, as determined by a current nationally recognized labour guide, to a maximum of two hundred dollars ($200) for each repair visit. In addition, a maximum of three (3) days rental coverage will be provided for an engine or transmission parts delay and a maximum of two (2) days rental coverage for a vehicle inspection requested by the administrator.

Front Windshield Repair:
We shall provide for the repair of chips and/or cracks caused by propelled rocks or road hazard debris while driving on public roads, streets and highways. We shall also include coverage for stress cracks or breakage (less than five (5) centimetres in length) to your front windshield caused by extreme temperature changes, highway potholes or road hazards.

Benefit Limit: For the term of your contract/policy we shall provide front windshield repair coverage up to one hundred dollars ($100) per incident, at a maximum of two (2) uses per year. A total aggregate program benefit of five hundred dollars ($500) applies for the term of your cotnract/policy. Benefit coverage is for front windshield glass only and requires a scheduled repair appointment. All front windshield benefit amounts shall be inclusive of taxes.

Paintless Dent Repair:
We shall provide for limited removal of most small dents on exterior vertical painted sheet metal body panels. Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) is a detailing process developed by automobile body repair specialists that uses custom hand tools to gently push dented metal back to its original, or near original form. This procedure is expected to remove most small dents without further harming the manufacturer's original finish.

Benefit Limit: For the term of your contract/policy we shall provide PDR coverage for vertical metal panels of your vehicle. This benefit shall be limited to one (1) claim in any consecutive twelve (12) month period. This benefit requires initial assessment by our approved PDR technician prior to commencing the repair. Certain dents are not repairable, therefore, our PDR technician shall assess any damage to your vehicle and will decide (at their sole discretion) if the damage to your vehicle is repairable. If damage to your vehicle is considered "not repairable" by our PDR technician (using current PDR methods) no benefit shall be provided. Reimbursement will not be provided for services rendered by any repair facility outside of our PDR network - without prior authorization by the administrator. In the event our PDR technician is not available in your area, we shall provide for reimbursement of a similar paintless dent repair, up to a maximum of one hundred dollars ($100) per occurrence (inclusive of taxes).
